Our new STAR SR20J - Installed and running end of August.

The SR-20J provides high performance and flexibility with numerous tooling attachments to suit the main and sub-spindle platens. The high specification Fanuc 31iB control is packed with functions that ensure programming, setting and overall machine management is simple and undemanding.

A total of up to 30 cutting tools are available including 14 power-driven tools for cross drilling, milling, slotting and angular hole machining. The deep drilling stations allow holes up to 10mm diameter by 100mm deep to be machined on the main spindle.

The independent sub spindle has a fully programmable C axis. Polar co-ordinate control is also included as standard, allowing profiles such as hexagons and squares to be machined

• Main spindle speed 10,000 rpm, sub-spindle speed 8,000 rpm
